It is was with great pleasure that Peter Lindsay recently joined the Management Committee of Waratah Respite Services.
Warartah Respite Services provide overnight and day respite for the Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga and Bellingen communities. In these times of ever increasing demands on carers, respite is essential to enhance the opportunity for carers to receive a well earned break and regenerate their batteries. At the same time Waratah provides much needed recreational and social needs for the care recipients.
ACHIEVE was recently succesful in its application to be included on the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH) National Advisory and Development Multi-use List.
