      • Compliance Auditing and Quality Assurance

Penelope’s initial career in medical science (anatomy and pathology) led her quickly to the lofty heights of Associate Professor (Head of Macro-Anatomy) in the Faculty of Medicine with the University of Pretoria, South Africa. A position she held from 1998 to 2001.

In 2001 Penelope’s growing interest in compliance and auditing resulted in appointments as Managing Director with eFact (Pty) Ltd, Pretoria, RSA, specialising in compliance and conformance requirements of education and health care providers in both public and private sectors, followed with the appointment as Director, Compliance with Khulisa Management Services, Johannesburg, RSA. Her background relevant to this field includes training as a lead Auditor ISO 9001:2000.

Immigrating to Australia with her family in 2005, Penelope has been assisting with mainstreaming the Partnership for Aboriginal Care, an innovative project providing care for indigenous people with complex conditions on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

During this time she has developed a link with ACHIEVE Outcomes Australia and provides key advice on research and evaluation design, data quality systems and implementation.

Penelope has a passion for data and a commitment to quality processes which provide credible information. She has an insatiable appetite for learning, analysis and education. She continues to supervise post graduate students through Charles Sturt University, is pursuing studies in Indigenous law, and has qualifications in farm management which she takes great pleasure in practicing on a 80 acre farm in rural NSW.
