Bullinah Implements Strategic Plan

ACHIEVE is proud to have facilitated the development of the Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service Strategic Plan.

Bullinah is a new Aboriginal Health Service established for the Goori people in and around Ballina NSW.

"This has been one of the most rewarding strategic planning processes we have been involved in", explained Managing Director, Peter Lindsay.

"From the outset the Advisory Committee, with the support of the Northern Rivers General Practice Network, has been determined to get on with the job.  Agreed strategies have been implimented almost immediately, and I have no doubt they will rapidly achieve their desired independence.  At the same time their service delivery will grow with a continued focus on quality.  I congratulate them on their outstanding achievements."

Key Strategies include:

  1. To develop Bullinah as a best practice Aboriginal primary health care service
  2. To establish Bullinah as an independent community controlled agency
  3. To establish a sustainable base to enable the ongoing delivery and development of Bullinah services
  4. To develop and implement an employment strategy that will facilitate the best outcomes for the community
